Leopard Ratsnake and Eggs

Well my female dropped four eggs last night. Six days after her prelay shed. The size of the eggs is amazing in relation to the size of the snake. Enjoy. Rin

Wait till the little ones hatch! They look about half the size of the adults. I'm hoping that I will have eggs when I go into the snake house this morning...

clutch, that is great. I bred my adults this year but the female laid infertile eggs. What temps were you keeping the female and male at, and what temp(s) did you have them in for brumation? I didn't use the really cold room that i usually do this year and they didn't get down past 60 very often or for very long this winter. It was also a mild winter here in PA for the most part and that didn't help me out.

Thanks in advance, and best of luck with those eggs.

Gregg F.

hi i am here in south jersey. it didn't get that cold for me either. they were high 50's to 60. i am not sure if the eggs are fertile. i will have to wait a while. it is my first time breeding them. we'll see. Rin

Hello Rin,
Do you ever go to the Hamburg PA shows or Havre de Grace MD shows? I usually make it to Hamburg twice a year, haven't been to Havre de Grace for a few years though. I hope the eggs are fertile, I will just have to wait and try some different set-up next year for my adults.

Have a good day,

Gregg
