Just gotta share this pic we bred a Mojave male to this Pastel
and she just layed 4 good eggs and 2 slugs.
We also have 4 eggs hatching today from Pastel to Pastel
I don't think we made a super but maybe we will hit with the Pastel to Mojave it is all the luck of the draw.

They presell alot of there stuff. Told me earlier in the year that they would sell a het pied male for $1000, said that is as low as they will go as market value at the time was $1500, but that for late 02s. I have seen het pied males 03s going for $750 on the classifieds. So guess that aren't selling for less. They presold for less than last years babies were going for at the time, uh no crap hey. Thought that was economics, each year more people produce more therefor supply goes up and price comes down. Thought that was economics. Bet some people that have prepaid for snakes are kicking themselves in the butt now as snake prices are dropping below what they have paid. LOL, all the uproar for nothing. They are making out very well i bet.
Where do you get off judging us? We have sold a ton of snakes and made alot of people happy. That is what it is all about. Feel free to pay more. More power to you. To answer your question they both have been our slogan all along. I don't recall selling any snakes to you so how do you know our prices? We offer great deals at more than favorable prices to the consumer. We don't bust projects and sell morphs for half price like some other breeders have recently. Our ball python collection is growing and we are aquiring new stuff all the time. It is all about the collection. How is yours doing?

Not judging you, preselling makes great business sense. Gets you more of a locked in price, even when the market goes down. You presell before most people have hatched out their babies, so market price for that year is not set yet. You sell for less than what last years went for, you make out. I know what your prices were for het pieds as of a few months ago, as I spoke with you about buying a het pied. But I do not like the idea of paying for something before it hatchs because I do not know what the supply will be and hence what the market value of the snake will be. Obviously $1000 is high for a het pied as I have seen them being offered for $750 and it is still early in the season. I am Sure alot more people will be selling them for the same if not less come the later months of the season and the begining of winter. Patience is a virtue. My collection is doing fine mostly normals with a few hets, I am poor I do things the slow way. Maybe one day I will have a nice collection, again maybe I won't. Maybe one day I will finish my PhD and will be able to invest the money in actual morphs, maybe I won't and I will do the het make possible hets then maybe make morphs for minmal investment. I do not make a living off animals and never will. I love to keep and breed animals. Say I am jealous, doesn't bother me. Just putting out my two cents on a subject that I find amusing. You guys are doing great work, and I do understand you have alot of money and time invested in your animals. I respect that, it takes alot to make a living off animals. I just find your motto amusing.

define "rip off". I know him and HIGHLY doubt he would try to rip anyone off. What exactly did he do? Try to sell you an animal for a little more than market price? look at all the big guys! I just got a 100% het albino male Juvinile for $100, when I could have paid $300-$500 fom a "big guy" even though the person I got it from is getting up there in the breeding world and would be considered as a "medium" guy I guess LOL.

Patience is a virtue, but not as much fun ...
I don't think I would sell any of my adult unproven possible het albino females for $600. Maybe you could find an honest person who just wants to change projects or something and get them cheaper but to me they are worth at least that on the chance they are hets just on the verge of being proved. I proved one 50% possible het female to be a het this year and another only had 2 surviving eggs so the jury is still out on her. Hopefully I can get her and the remaining 4 (two "25% chance hets" and two more 50% chance) to produce big clutches next year.
But anyway, back to your problem. Maybe you should just pick some nice hatchling 100% or 50% or whatever you can afford females up and grow them up. Two or three years will pass before you know it. Of course as soon as you spend your money on that the adult will show up, Murphy's law of snake finance.

Jyohe, are you scared that they are going to take all your business, because if that is what you are afraid of, you should think about it before you go off on some stupid rant. Your unprefessional attitude, and readiness to shoot your mouth off is gonna blow more sales for you than MKR! With regards to MKR, and I know it's been said before, and will be said again, but I feel that it is good that MKR is mixing things up a bit. I see both pooints of view, as a breeder, and as a consumer, and more power to you guys.

I met JY in 93. He knows a lot. Believe me he spits out Latin names for lots of different critter. More than I can. He has been breeding for a looong time.
