I dont know whether I should get a water dragon or get a different kind of lizard.

p.s. Im ten years old and I never had a lizard before.

I'm glad you consulted this forum before buying anything, but no, a water dragon would not be the best choice for you. They are large lizards that require specific and involved enclosures and husbandry. Though I got my first one at 10 and it's still thriving as I approach 19, it would not be a wise idea. Go get a couple green anoles, and unless your parents will research and care for a waterdragon with you, leave this species alone for a while. Anoles are simple and fun, but remember all lizards have certain requirements.
