Okay so if on Wed. Nate post and says she is orange, no one is going to be surprised because they thought the pic looked red right? I was worried sick for a sec, I thought my monitor was off a bit.
Just to make my myself clear, I am not trying nor have I ever tried to sell any of my dragons as red. Bellow is a link to my dragons and the only ones that look most like red are the one's I'm keeping and they are even labeled red to orange and keeper male. All the people who saw them as hatchlings (and they were red then) and had asked me to let them know when they were ready to sell,,, I contacted them and told them that they had shed to orange.
(any of you feel free to step in and back me here)
So if anyone sees a dragon of mine for sale that looks red, please don't buy it because they are not red. Check your monitor because they are orange, yellow, and many in-between.
The first time I used a bath pic for a deal, the other person was not satisfied with the dragon and the deal was returned and all was made right. I will now never use a bath pic for a deal (many people do and I don't know how they are able to keep their good name) We all know they are at their best in a bath. Many people set them in the sun for a while to do the same thing. But when the people get them and they don't look like that all the time, they are not satisfied. We all know that right?
So I learned my lesson the first time I used a bath pic. Done deal and it won't happen again.
So from my pics, none are in a bath,(the one Nate posted, he had asked me to take a bath pic for him and I told him I do not use them for sale pics because of what I posted above) and none of them have been sitting in the sun. They are all right out of the bin. I have started using a white background with this clutch. I found that the white background helps the backlight feature on the camera to work better. Basking lights in the background darken the pic and make the dragon seem richer in color.
If anyone has bought a dragon from me and feel I have misrepresented their color please contact me.
Sorry all, I just had to get that out.

My dragons
Joel, I've talked with you some on what to do with my babies, I know you're a great person cos you care about your animals and about people. I couldn't see you ripping anyone off.
I understand your concern regarding breeders making their dragons look pretty to sell, and I do see your point. I've never tried to sell any beardies at all, but I realise that there isn't a single beardy on this planet that stays its "happy" colours 24/7.
People attempting to sell dragons worth several hundred dollars aren't going to want to advertise it with a picture showing their "ugly" or "pissed off" colours though.
Maybe people selling beardies should present each animal with two photos. One showing the happy colours, one showing the plain colours to demonstrate the range of the animal.
Btw, yours looks mostly orange to me, with a few hints of red on the sides, and possibly a lil splash on the head.

Yes!!!!! I had asked Joel to let me know when dragons were available after seeing them posted as reds. But, after they shed the reds turned to orange. Joel contacted me with that info. and although his dragons are incredible (I really wanted one anyway)I had originally requested a red. Regretabbly, I didn't get a red one out of this clutch. But no matter which color choice you have made, you will still be getting an outstanding dragon!!!! Thanks Joel, Teresa (TBK Dragons)
Thank you Teresa..

you can call her,,, Miss. Fire Engine. LOL
Who has always loved to torment me
Hey,,, Carrot Top, just shed today. I'm going to get a new pic of him up in a couple days. His orange seems to darken up a little a few days after the shed. Is this normal?
Don't forget to check out his lines across his back
I'm glad his sale fell through.

Just like messin with ya Cheri,,, You are a good person who can take it, and give it back.
Later,
Joel

I was one of those people he is speaking of. I have been talking to him about getting a dragon from him for about 2 months now. He made it a point to correct me when I first described them as reds. He told me from day one that they changed from reddish colored to orange when they shed the first time. Pictures of both parents were posted on the same photo gallery as the babies for everyone to see.
relax Joel ... who in their right mind would complain about your gorgeous dragons?
D K REPTILE
I actually ment to post the pic you posted. I was trying out a new image hosting site and forgot which pic I copied. Sorry about posting the pic with the soaking dragon. I know a lot of people soak to show the max colors. I also know you aren't into doing that. I requested that pic. And I dont know of any other breeders that would actually take the time and pictures and do that. You truely are an amazing guy to do buisnes with! Sorry about creating all this confusion.
peace,
nathan
