had a full term phant die on me dont know what happened, the brother egg made it to hatch and this was 28 days after.

I would attribute it to the fetus not being strong enough to crack the shell. I hope you didn't count your phants before they hatch. Sorry about your loss. I know a few other people had that problem this year.
Just don't think its anything you did as this does happen to everyone.

have it happen with collared lizards also, beautiful perfect little hatchling and it will be dead, never know why. Just remember it happens in nature also.
