Your link didn't work but I believe your talking about the add Mike has for Kafiau's. It isn't a hatchling, it looks to be around a year old. Mike has been messing with snakes for longer then most of us have been around. Probing one that size might not be something I'd try but I'd sure let him do it for me.
I recently spoke to Mike and from what he said he is sure that it is a young Kafiau, only the second youngster I've seen pictures of. As far as Adult Kafiau's most of the animals that have been imported have been around 3 feet or so long, some seem to stay yellow many turn green. The larger IE older yellow ones seem to retain their color.
Considering that not 8 months ago they were selling for 15 grand a pair I don't think I'd say what he is asking is insane. I have no interest in buying it but who knows maybe someone wants to see one change from its baby color. Here's a photo of the youngster in question . Randy
>>i hope this link works but man..this ad is insane.not only would someone have to be stupid for buying a supposed canary chondro as a normal colored hatchling, but also dealer claims to have probed the hatchlings for sex as well.if buying canarys as adults was a risk(most turn green)what kind of risk is buying a normal colored hatchling in hopes that it may be a canary.heres the link
