Torture Gray - Day: 99 Normal Female, 01 EBV Female, and 04 Harlequin Female

topnotchboas Jun 27, 2005 05:07 PM

I got all three of these wonderful boas from Gray at www.allboas.com

It was my first time taking the 99 Female outside in the natural sunlight and she is really stunning ... awesome coloration, especially for a 6 year old boa. Killer tail too.

Here is the 99 Normal Female:

Here is Bonnie, 2001 EBV Red Group Female. She is really solid and strong. This year will be her first breeding attempt.

And last but not least, 2004 Harlequin Female:

beautiful animals to take pictures of! I really like the picture of the yearling Harli...it looks like she's sniffing the flowers . Too cute!

the only one that really came out to my liking.

Thanks again for the compliments, through talking with your Dad ive learned to be picky and keep my stock "Top Notch"... which is an easy task when buying so many wonderful boas from Gray.

.....because they always look better when they go to someone else's house and get photographed. I'm not sure I like you anymore Ryan. However, I will be your best friend if you send me some of the offspring from those fine ladies. Best of luck with them this Fall. The two big girls should be in great shape and ready to go. Better get those males into their summer training schedule.

sunlight. Whenever I take indoor shots, or shade shots, of non albinos (I try to keep my albinos out of the sun), they look drab and uncolorful. The sun usually lights them up and displays them at their finest.

How's that new camera working out for ya?

Im having a blast with the DSLR. The switch from LCD to viewfinder really wasnt as difficult as I thought it would be. The only problem ive run into thus far is that it is hard to change zoom lengths while holding a boa and taking pictures, because the lens has to be physically twisted. Zooming/Unzooming is not a one hand operation. But 75% of the time it is kept at the same zoom length in those scenarios (I just move the camera closer/further away to fill the frame).

When I get a macro specific lens I should be able to take these shots to the next level, as the kit lens is a cheap one ($150 range).

Plans for upcoming season with the two big girls are:

04 Jungle Male x Bonnie (01 Red Group)

04 Pos. SuperSalmon Hypo (Manglow ... possibly Mr.Clean) x 99 Female

My 03 Pos. SuperSalmon Hypo could get worked in the mix there as well if the 04's are lacking in performance.

You are defenitly on the top of the list, no worries there!

Gray's animals always have a tendency to be fairly...FANTASTIC! Those are three girls ANY one would be thrilled to have in their collection!

Thanks,
Celia
