Where can one buy a temperature alarm for the reptile room?

RegiusPoint Jun 27, 2005 05:49 PM

My reptile room is outside of the house and it has air conditioning and a thermostat that controls the temperature of the heat tapes that heat the racks. Now, in the event of a failure of either one I would like to set-up an alarm that will sense the change in temperature and sound inside the house. It will need a sensor in the room, and a wire of at least 15 feet with the alarm inside the house. Where can one get a device such as that? Does it even exist? If you can e-mail me any info at Agarcia@itctel.com I'd greatly appreciate it.

Regards.

Greenhouse suppliers carry such devices intended for greenhouse use. I expect they would work for a reptile room as long the device supports an appropriate temperature range.
