How old is too old for breeding

SalS Jun 27, 2005 09:20 PM

I posted this in the breeding sub-forum but it looks like nobody has been there in a month, so I'm going to try it here.

I have a 10 year old female corn snake. The opportunity has come up lately of getting a mature male. I have never bred that female before and was wondering if 10 years old is too late to start with her?

Thanks

Snakes naturally breed throughtout their entire lifespan. So long as her weight is good and she's in good otherwise good health, I wouldn't hesitate to breed her.

Also, 10 years isn't that old for a corn snake, particularly an unbred animal.
