4 auratus in a 20H

spyderx05 Jun 28, 2005 12:43 AM

I have setup a 20H tank with moss, the plants, and some hiding places, but its also got a little pond and waterfall. The water areas take up about 1/5 to 1/4 of the surface area. My question is, I'm looking to get a pair of blue arautus to breed. I know they say 5 gal, or .5 sq ft/ adult frog, but do you think 4 froglets, and juvies could fit into this tank until they are sexable enough to sell off all but a male and a female? Then, at that point, probably put the pair into a nice 10gal, and a pair of azures or tincs in this one. But thats all in the future. So, what do you guys think about 4 of these in there until they're a year old or so? thanks

Is it suggested to keep a pair of dart frogs you are trying to breed? I might try to breed Leucomelas but I am planning to have them in a 20 long instead of a 10 gal....

Is this too big? Will they not be together enough in such a big tank or something?? I really want them to breed ASAP, it will be so exciting!
