need help with feeding baby bearded dragons

jon13 Jun 28, 2005 07:26 AM

I am about to have a bunch of bearded dragon eggs hatch and I need to find a better way to feed them. What is the cheapest way to feed them? Should I buy the food from a place like grooms... Or should I try to breed some insects and if so what kind should I breed

What are you feeding mom? I would get small, like 1/4inch crix. I also fed mine baby lobster roaches, but I have a colony of them established so it was no big deal to do. You can feed small mealworms too but I don't like to make any one bug the major part of their diet. By the time our last clutch left they ate crix, mealies, roaches and greens very well.

If you want to breed bugs go with cockroaches. Crix are a pain and take up a ton of room and space and stink. Roaches are fast, easy and don't have that icky smell.
