my 1 month old argentine B&W tegu seems to instead of looking for light like all of the other lizards i have had.. he goes and looks for somewhere to bury himself. i was wondering if this is normal behaviour and whatnot.

This is normal. They like to dig, it relieves stress. They should not be underground all the time. That means that their either really stressed by something, or your temps arent high enough (75ish on one side, and ~120F basking light) and it is trying to hibernate. They should come out once a day and roam around, depends on the tegus age, mine is around 6months and comes out like for 6-7hours a day and basks at the UV light (heat) AND the Flourescent full specturm light.

Good luck,
MIke
