Mosca Emerges

purduecg Jun 28, 2005 01:24 PM

So, Mosca FINALLY came out of the stupid log Saturday or Sunday, not looking nearly as pleasantly plump as he usually does (though he is already back to normal). The really irritating thing is he is back to running away from me and being somewhat unpleasant when approached (tail thwapping and such). I wonder if this is what it feels like to be a parent of a terrible two year old human child, lol.

All is well that ends well though. Just thought I would keep everyone up to speed, and vent a little. :-D

I'm very glad to hear he made it back out! Maybe he was doing the "I'm running away from hooooooome! You'd better come stop meeeeee!" routine, and he's mad that you didn't panic.

I would have been sweating BULLETS and somehow broke that dang thing to get in there, LOL ( You have much patience!)

It seems you held out longer, ahahhahaha glad Mosca is back , he will settle down again, I think maybe he was stressed from being in there, and just acting annoyed.

Like it's YOUR FAULT, hehehhehee just like those kids your talking about, it's NEVER their fault, when they do something stupid they always BLAME the parent

Good to hear. Wondered why he waited so long....
How is Archie?
Last I heard he was responding okay to antibiotics?

Archie does appear to have responded well to antibiotics. The day or two after they ended he was looking a little worse for wear, but I had been giving him intravenous fluids as well, which we also stopped when the course of baytril ended. I think he is looking pretty good, all things considered, though I am rather worried at the moment that the infection got very close to, or breached his "pelvic canal". No idea if that is a real term, but basically what would equivelate to his lower intestinal track. He seems to have to exert considerable effort to defecate. Hopefully I will have another set of X-Rays taken next week to compare the size of the "lack of bone", and the fibrous mass that has grown to compensate.

Thank you for asking! Archie and I are BOTH glad I do not have to stick him with anything for the moment, but we shall see how long THAT lasts.
