What do they use?

anyone05 Jun 28, 2005 03:46 PM

This is a question concerning the high density polyethylene (HDPE) sheeting. What do they use to glue them together? Is it weld-on or another type of cement? By using glue how strong are these cages over visions formed construction?

thanks in advance
Jorge

HDPE / HDPP cannot be conventionally "glued" there are some glues ( uv activated that will but the cost is as much as a hummer lol ) you can thermo weld or mechanically fasten with screws to make a cage / rack screwing you will need a few tools like a router and dado bits to join it for a strong joint or opt for a hot air/gas welder and weld them in this case you would need to use nitrogen to create a hot enough weld to bond the materials
