Can anyone tell me what exactly the snake in the forum page pic is? I've seen one just like it in my front bushes. I live in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Highly unlikely; that is a Northern pine at the top of the forum page, which don't live anywhere even close to there. Great basin gophers have similar coloration, perhaps you've seen those in Utah.
