How can I tell if my veiled eggs are infertile
Since you are asking how you can tell if the eggs are infertile
does this mean your female did lay her eggs??
If they are infertile, they will be slightly smaller and less
white and less "solid" looking....but since you have nothing to
compare them with you won't know by that. If there's a
possibility that they are fertile (in other words, if she's been
mated) then incubate them and you will soon find out. If they are
infertile, they will mold and/or shrivel up and it will be very
obvious. I will look for a picture of some eggs that are fertile
and some that are infertile to show you the difference....if I can
locate the pictures. I will post them if I find them.
If there's a possibility that they are fertile, let me know and
I will tell you about incubating them.
This site shows the difference in the look of a female before she lays the eggs and
after. It also shows good eggs and one that is going bad.
