Out in the yard - just me and my pet snake

5rings Jun 28, 2005 07:54 PM

I have spent too much time thinking about the economics of blood pythons and the role of neurotransmitter agonists in herpetoculuture. To re-ground myself I took Sh'a (Lakota Sioux word for "red" out to play in the yard after a rainstorm. Now I remember why I do this.

She looks absolutely gorgeous, what isn't there to like about bloods and short tails really, especially when you see lookers like that.

I dont really know this snake very well. I have had him for a while but Ive neglected our bonding time. He and I had a great time in the yard. It turns out his personality is better than his looks. Luckily the same can be said for me, I hope.

Very nice, Steve. He's colored a lot like the female. They both look great!

He's just a smidge darker than her, but shares her personality. How is she getting along? I've had your male out in the yard a couple of times. He is a sweetheart and I've grown very attached to him already.

She has eaten, shed, and, had a crapped. I really like her! Thanks again Steve!
