Found this 4.5 foot male yesterday under a tin sheet about a mile from my house. Kinda' feel sorry for him. He IS the ugliest eastern I've EVER seen in the wild. He's got some scars and an eye injury to boot. . .Must have ran across one of the many (FERAL) cats around here (you know, one of those that people claim are their pets).
I'm consistently finding more and more injured kingsnakes these days (more than I've found in the seventies and eighties)

I am an animal lover but I really don't dig cats, especially feral ones. I read somewhere that they are capable of killing scores of their weight in wild animals annually, not sure the exact number but it was ridiculous.

Tylenol broken up into small pieces and placed into a can of Iams does wonders on those cats.

One dead cat = 100's of native species saved annually. . . . You do the math!!! Especially if you're one of those cat owners that lets their cat run around the neighborhood all day and then claim oh- it's my pet! WHAT THE @@#@**&!!!!! If it was your pet then maybe you'll treat it as one by containing it on YOUR property at ALL times (not just when you feel like it)!!!

(By the way, I have a pet colony of termites - think I'll let them run around the neighborhood and wreck homes of irresponsible cat owners) Ok, I guess you get the point. I feel better already. Like ALF once said: I LOVE CATS - THEY'RE DELICIOUS!!!
