Jaguar x jungle carpet hatchlings!!

Jay Jun 28, 2005 08:26 PM

Today I walked into the snake room and, much to my surprise, found a baby jaguar crawling out from the clutch of jungle eggs?! Had my male hypo jaguar in with her but never saw any action what so ever. Guess he likes his privacy! Only have two so far. The rest of the clutch did not do so good. Have 4 normal sibs and another 8 dead sibs (which died in their eggs?) 2 of the eggs had twins in them!! Never had that happen before. As usual, two of the dead animals were stunning!!! Still waiting on another clutch to hatch.
I do not think that anyone has produced jag x jungles in the US before?!

Congrats, Jay!!! And no, I don't believe anyone else has produced Jungle-Jaguars in the US yet. You are likely the first! Great job. That hatchling has stunning colors! What pairing did you use for your second clutch that is due to hatch soon?

How are the Hypo Coastals doing??? Post some pics! Also post pics of the Sire Jaguar from the Jungle clutch. Please?

P.S.
Are you going to be at the Daytona Show this year?

VERY NICE! I just had a conversation the other day with some one about the possibility of a Jag JCP. Can’t wait to see how much yellow develops! With a mom like that it looks promising.

This just means I have to start saving my pennies for the ultimate JCP!

-Congratulations!

Does anyone know what they will grow up to look like? Will they be yellow and black? What colors will they be?

Also, sorry to hear about the other siblings that didn't make it. That's upsetting to hear.

How are the 4 "normal" siblings? Are they doing well? CAN WE PLEASE SEE PICS OF THOSE? Were the "normal" ones all the twins? How many hatched healthy? How many hatched in total?

If there are twins do they actually grow up to look the same and will they be smaller than non-twins?

PLEASE PICS OF THE "NORMAL" JCPs!!!

I’m sure, there is potential for yellow. Here’s a pic from a guy in the UK.

That's what I was guessing. I like the normal JCPs...

Hoping for new pics of the babies!

Yep, they can be very nice and a lot smaller than normal jags. Here's a pic of my yearling female. Wonder what she will be like in a year or two.

Are all the eggs hatched from that clutch? Could there still be more Jaguar/Jungles not born yet?

I am ANXIOUS to see what the little JCPs look like. Please post some pics. How do they look? I'm sure we would all like to see their head patterns, etc.

(How long before the first shed, typically?)
