I was leafing through the Conant/Collins Eastern and Central North America herp guide and I noticed that the range of the southern black racer (a snake which I thought I had found many times) did not extend into Central Northern Oklahoma where I grew up. The racers I used to find where dark black dorsally and pale or dark on the underbelly. They were not coachwhips by the way. Are these considered Yellow-bellies or integrades or hybridizations?
