Sometimes, I use the same vermiculite during the season, but dispose of it afterwards. This is only because I have multiple clutches of eggs in the same large container. Mostly with bearded dragons and colubrids. The STP's get real messy after hatch with all the albumen running around so I end up tossing it more often than reusing.

Hey,
I recycle it by using it in plant soil mix. However, I don't reuse it with another clutch of egg's, especially where there are egg's that have gone bad and mold was known to have developed in the same container. I scoop out the bad area and mix the good vermiculite with soil and use that for my plants.

how deep is the vermiculite (in Inches)
Ali

Hey,
If you're asking for the amount used for incubation, I use about a 2 inch to slighty more deep layer when wet. And I don't mean soaking wet, just wet enough to moisten the mix.
