Ok don't laugh . . . my husband rescued a 5 ft long gopher snake from golfers in Riverside CA. She was eating well and soon went off her feed to shed. Little did I know that it was a pre-laying shed! She laid 14 beautiful eggs. They are in the hide box covered with moist moss and I am a bit confused as to what temp to keep them. Some say around 75 to room temp, others advise higher. This is our first snake so we are VERY new to the, shall we say sport. I want to provide good care; she has not eaten since the laying of the eggs 7/13. She did drink water though. any help is greatly accepted! thanks and she is beautiful!
