....OK lets see some of those outdoor enclosures...

...Ok sometimes ya just cant get away from the regular life...so whaddya do...mebbe bring the "field" home
Heres a 140 sq' (6800 gal!) vivaria I built in my backyard..probably de-valued my property by 50%!
Its completely enclosed to keep the f%$#-ing cats out of it. I installed a sliding window for easier viewing... I built subterreanean shelters for thermo-regulation / brumation. W/ heatpads I could [& probably should] keep monitors in it.
I've maintained & bred all sorts of desert herps in it over the 15+ years, that Ive had it.

A little bit busy...for sure....

One sunny late winter AM...& look whos thermoregulating under the caprock...

That is freakin' AWESOME! I love those rosies! I want to do one for collard and spiny lizards and such, and maybe a climbing wall for subocs and bairdi's and such.

Pretty cool John. Thought you kept those big OK whips in there? Be a pretty good enclosure once you get those regals to 4'!

I hear you on the property devaluation :P I have a 9 X 9 foot enclosure. I have mine planted pretty well, and figure I'll just tell prospective buyers I plant tomatoes in there LOL. I never imagined what people would think when I try to sell the house, but I just bought a new house and need to sell. I will miss this lizard pen. I don't overwinter my animals in here, but they do stay out from May until Sept here in Central Illinois. I haven't had to keep any cats out either. This year I have kept one large screen lid over the center, to keep out potential raptors. I like the looks of yours alot. The house I am going to has a lot of raccoons, so the secure like will probably be a must!

I have 1.4 collared lizards, 1.1 chuckwallas, and a yarrow spiny lizard out there right now. In the summer, I hang a Japanese beetle trap in the pen which attracts a large number to the pen. The collareds will jump and and catch them in midair. I also have planted a variety of edible vegetation for the chucks.
