Can I play now??? Is it my turn? Introducing....

Markus Jayne Jun 29, 2005 09:38 AM

The Sterling Pastel!

I hope the name isn't already taken!!!! There have been so many names come up lately my head is spinning! If Sterling Pastel is taken I'm just going to name her Sally!

She finally crawled out of the egg this morning and already struck at me. Can you believe it? She is probably pissed at me for talking so many pictures in the egg. Enough already!!!!

Technically she is a Super Pastel Pewter.

Here she is with her brother a Pewter Pastel. When I first cut open the eggs on day 51 I though she was a Pewter. She started to yellow up a bit and definitely shares the markings of a Pewter and Cinnamon.

Cinnamon Pastel (female), Pewter Pastel (male), Sterling Pastel (female).

We ended up getting 4 different morphs in one clutch of 6. The remaining 2 were Pastel Jungles.

Hope you like!

Mark

Hey Mark,
Congrats on the new animal. All of the new babies look beautiful. I don't think the name is taken yet, but it is definitely fitting.

Congrats,

great job and we know it feels good to get into the game with something unique! With all the new morphs this season when you're working with a limited numbers of animals, like us (compared to BIG breeders) it seems like you'll never get there. You just want to look at that one clutch and see something a little different and you definately got it going on with this one.

Keep us posted on the progress, and good luck with everything this season.

So what do you suppose the double homozygous cinnamon and pastel will look like? I suppose it will be pattern less from the cinnamon but will it be silver or some how yellowish? Anyone got a shot at one yet this year so we can see?

Awesome pictures and snakes,

Can you post a picture of sally next to one of your super pastels. I am interested in how recognizable she is from a super.

BTW, you website is great.

And there isnt a single person in this world that deserves a clutch like that more then you!!! Congrats again!!!

She's a beauty! It's great to see another "made in Canada" morph! As another one posted, it would be really nice to see her pictured next to a regular super pastel for comparision!

Best of luck with all your projects this year!

Bristen.

No one we know has worked as hard as you have to achieve what you have in such a short period of time. You really deserve it. Congratulations again and we can’t wait to see her mature!!!

Some good genetics in that to work with.
Nice to get a first time morph and name it. Fitting name to fall in line with the Pewter name. .... Just in time to go into the Complete Ball Python Manual's DEADLINE!

Anyone else with a new morph looming best put it into the MicroWave and hatch it soon if they want to see it in a book that will appear in all pet stores carrying reptiles.
