Fantastic pictures!
Truly a Northern Pine Snake fan's dream vacation, to visit the Pine Barrens! But for now, I'll just stare at my two piles of gorgeous baby Northern Pines and keep telling myself, I can't keep em all..I can't keep em all...LOL! And one of these days I'll get out to western ND to see if I can't find some Bullsnakes, at least I'd still be looking for Pituophis! But another highlight for me is getting to visit John Meltzer in the fall, baby snakes of all kinds!

when are you going to stop teasing us and post some pics of your babies from this year? I want to see the variation!

NODAK Bulls would be cool, and if you ever make the trip over here, I'll show ya around the pines.

Hey Anthony!
Gotta wait for them to hatch, plus I just want to hold on to them just a little longer than I probably need to just so I can continue to stare at them and smile... Before I have to let them go and they get taken away from me...LOL! I'll start seperating them tommorow, and maybe I'll take a few early pics, there is one male already that is so cool, he's got a lack of pattern in his upper third of his body, like the black pattern is getting replaced in white such that he almost appears striped in a way. Going to be a screamer high white for sure! But yes, patience...patience...LOL! And I'm going to take you up on your offer to come out and visit the Barrens! Just don't know when! Take care.

I really need to make it down your way A.C. and do some herping. How long does it take you to get to Hamburg? It's about 3 hours for me, but i may be able to head down I70 your way instead of taking the pike. Russell if you do come this way to do some herping please let me know! My Sonoran female laid 9 good looking eggs last night, i have some pics on my site but it was late so i didn't get to post them here.

Have a good holiday weekend,

Gregg F.

Hey Gregg,
that would be cool for the three of us to get together to wander around the Pine Barrens! But of course, for me, that might be another year, certainly NOT this year! All my vacation time is spoken for it seems! Well, it looks good for you this year from all those eggs I see! Congrats! I'm looking forward to seeing your baby pics! I always enjoy that.

Hello Russell,
I'll start posting pics of those babies as soon as they have hatched out. Pretty good year so far for me, only bad things to date are an infertile clutch of situla eggs and my pyros not laying yet again, lol. Guess i have to work on those projects a little more next spring. If you want to meet up with A.C. next year just let me know too and i will be there.

Have a good one,

Gregg

Gregg,

Hamburg is 2-2.5 hours west of me. The barrens are 1-1.5 sw of me. 70 will be a much better idea than the pike. I'll show you guys around. I don't see how you can truly enjoy a spp in captivity unless you have visited where it lives...give you a better understanding of the animal.

The last one on my list is TX for some indies. These are truly fascinating snakes, and I hope to make it down there by the spring. Hey, if there are any TEXANS reading this, I'll gladly trade a pine barrens trip for one to look for Drymarchon erebennus!

A.C.,
Some time we will need to get directions from my place to where you go, or next month at Hamburg i can get them from you and then see how long it would take. Heck, i might be able to come down this summer or fall if it's only a few hours away. I would really enjoy herping in LA and someday AZ and UT.

Have a good one A.C.,

Gregg
