I found a great tiger salamander in my window well last night. This guy is huge! Probably 12 inches. He's larger than my male leopard gecko. I set him up in a 10 gallon w/ Ecoearth, water bowl & hide spot.
I'm currently debating the ethics of keeping a WC animal. Any opinions?

Thanks for the prompting for photos. Here's the best of our afternoon photo session. He's in a 10 gallon & you can see the sides of the tank on either end of his body. I thought he was a lizard at first glance, because he is so big.
How do I know if it's a he or a she?
