My eggs that were laid are now totaly solid.
The fellow from Albino Hognose said tha if they hardened soon after laying they were infertile, but it took about a day.
I've left them alone, but I went back to check today and now all of them are hard like that.
Has anyone had hardened eggs that developed into hogs, or is this a lost cause?
I'm curious if I should continue incubating them or not. I was really looking forward to having baby hogs and releasing the mom.
Any info at all would be helpful.

infertile. One way to check is to hold a flashlight to one and see if there are any veins or red in them. What color are the eggs? Can you post a picture?

I will try. My litle camera sucks..
but I'll try.
The eggs themselves are sort of an off-white color. I'll candle them and see what happens.
I can just hope I have 1 fertile egg.

I candled them.
none of them were good. Really a downer for me.
I was really hoping that at least one would be good.
I'd like to release the mother, but then I won't have a hognose at all.

Never throw away an egg until it has rotted into oblivion. Anything is possible.

not sure if I agree with that one but... hey, what doesn't work for some works for others......
