Dill has something to say to her previous owners.....

icequeen Jul 14, 2003 09:24 PM

hehehehe....I know that was tasteless of me. I just couldn't help it.
Even though it LOOKS as though Dill is making an obscene gesture, it really isn't her fault....since she's missing three toes on that foot that you can see in the picture, it just LOOKS like she's always giving everyone the "bird".

We were outside today, for some sun and pics, after spending some time in the bath, to help her with her shed. It's always such an ordeal to get the shed skin off of her toes! And it always takes so many soaks to get all the shed skin eased off.

It doesn't hurt her when I "help" the shed does it? I always wonder if it like when you peel a sunburned area, and then catch a "fresh" spot...and it HURTS when you go to peel the skin. Do you think it's like that for lizards?

Hi Kim
Gorgeous picture - Dill looks like such a lady (despite 'the finger'!) - in fact, it almost looks like she's got lipstick on!!
Re the shedding - I don't imagine it would *as long as* the skin is already quite loose. I guess soaking and easing and using your judgement is the way to go.
