Holla

I asked a question like days ago about what uroplatus to start with and today the owner of my local pet store said he could get me a pair Uroplatus Phantasticus.Ive read about their care and all that and they dont sound that hard to keep but the only thing is idk how to create a cage for them like what do i put inside. So some tips and tricks with them would help.

Thanks
Big P

i would like to say satanics are the hardest species that i've kept so far. they seem to do fine one day, and up and die the next for no rhyme or reason. if you must get them the most naturalistic set-up you can make the better for them.
layering substrate has worked quite well for me with lineatus and sikorae. layer pea gravel, clay pebbles ( fiberglass screen on top of that to keep from seaping) then soil ( possibly soil with sand if you'd like, with more soil on top of that) and then i put eco earth on top of all of this. works wonders for the plants, and drainage as well. plant of choice for me in larger cages in pothos because it is very hardy and grows fairly quickly as well.

U. Phantasticus are my first and only uroplatus. I think you should be just fine with them as long as you are somewhat reptile savy. I'd say the most important thing is to start out with healthy well established animals.....if the look skinny/dehidraded/anemic/etc I wouldn't purchase them to save them. Good Luck!
