Tail Wagging

sonic Jun 29, 2005 10:14 PM

Fed Feonix some crix about 5pm today, and this is the first time I've ever seen this happen (mom saw it too):

He lifted his tail up off the ground, and wagged the end part like a dog wags their tail.

I was wondering if there is any reason for this or if he was just happy.

I miss that! I don't have any little ones right now but young ones do that when they're hunting. Its great to watch! They look so excited. Unfortunately, they stop doing that as they get older (unless they're males and then you get some tail action for much different reasons unrelated to feeding )

I've seen my friend's leos do that too at feeding time. I think it may be related to a feeding response. I had also seen it as a defensive warning too from the babys.
