I just wanted to post some pics of my latest project. Out of a clutch of five, three (possible four) babies are pale yellow, have pale heads, clear bellies and exhibit varying degrees of blushing--so I am calling them "Fuego." The father was imported as a CH baby in 2003, and was bred for the first time this year. I have been hoping to prove him out. Thus far, I have established the trait is at least dominant, possibly an incomplete dominant (co-dominant), but we'll have to see in a couple of years. As an added bonus, the mother is a WC (unproven) axanthic. Just imagine an axanthic Fuego--pale silver with black banding! I'm looking forward to this one.
