Update on baby Northern Pine that was sslllloooowww to hatch...

nodaksnakelover Jun 30, 2005 03:12 AM

I kept looking in on the little one, and he kept wiggling a bit when I poked him, so I left him be. Just checking to see if he was dead or alive daily. Well before I left for work Wed night I saw he had finally pulled his front third out of the egg. And get this, his eyes are totally blue, as in, he's in shed! Strange! So when I got home, early Thursday morn, I see he's mostly out and looks fine. Small umbilical cord, which still goes into the egg, so I didn't bother him. So it appears I will have 16 babies again this year! Boy am I glad he made it, he sure looks nice! Thanks for the info given below!
