albino black rats? and other snake stuff

Can anyone post some pictures of a big albino black rat snake? I'm curious as to what they look like. I have a juvenile and I'm curious to see what she might look like when she's older.

Do albino black rats lose their pattern as they get older? In a normal black rat, the lighter segments fuse with melanin as the snake gets older. Correct? However, albinos have no melanin. So do they still retain their pattern when they get old?

My snake Misty is doing quite well. I had to brain the first couple pinkies to get her to eat when I got her. Now that I think of it though, I should have been a little more patient. She was eating whole pinks before I got her and now she's pounding fuzzies. She's also getting pretty tame for such a small snake. She rarely tries to make a 'run' for it, she just chills in my hand and cruises around a bit. She only comes out at night, but she's starting to get a little bolder and come out in the evening.

One last question. She only hides in her warm hide, where it's about 86-87 degrees. She used to only hide in her cool hide, then I switched the warm hide to a broken pot dish, which is much more dark and snug. But shouldn't she be thermoregulating or something? Oh well, I guess she's eating fine and she's not overly hyper when I take her out, so she can't be too hot.

I have a yearling that I bred myself, and a two-yr-old that was bred by Ryan & Sheila Wunch (SCALES Zoo, Sask.).

The parents of my baby are both really black. The only adult albino that I've ever handled, was Ryan and Sheila's big male, Voodoo, that is the father of my older baby. Voodoo is almost perfectly white, and shows practically no trace of any pattern at all. His daughter, Lacey, looked very much like your baby when she first arrived here. Now, she's a very pale pink, with slightly darker pink blotches. I'm hoping that she'll eventually became as white as her papa.

My home-bred baby, Persephone, is also getting paler as she ages.
