how many geckos, or insect feeders of any kind, do you have? it's not worth the trouble for just a few. basically you need to start out with about 1000 crickets, which can barely live in a 20 gallon long. and then as babies grow you need to keep sorting by size. mealworms, are maybe a bit easier. if you buy 1000 mealworms and keep them on a bran cereal bedding, with a carrot for moisture, they will probably breed on their own. i know that when i buy lots at a time, i often find babies just popping up.

I feed mostly superworms to my adults. I tried raising them but it got to be a big pain in the butt. I just buy like 1000 online now and keep them in a big rubbermaid. You can do the same with crix but I don't feed as many of those. Some people raise mealies it is not that hard really.

I raise my own mealworms, and am learning to raise waxworms. I also used to raise superworms, but my geckos hardly eat them now, so i just raise my own mealies. it's not hard either, any questions let me know.
