Got some eggs in one right now,,,that incubator works great with the helix thermostat it cant be beat...
Jason Matheson
How many shoe boxes or clutches will they hold?
I've got one too, it works ok, just don't plug in the fan. It drys things out pretty quick even though I don't have any air holes in the shoe boxes I'm using (the lids must not fit very tight or something) .
I have found that tubs with tite fitting lids like Tupperware work the best. 1 or 2 1/8" holes in the top. The fan needs to be plugged in to properly circulate the heat. Good luck!
Ive got 2 of them..the greatest investement ive ever made!!
had 100% hatch rate this year with BPs,leos and a few ratsnake eggs..
the only eggs I didnt hatch this year were bad before they went in the in...LOL
and as far as Eggs drying out...Sounds like you need tighter fitting lids..
Switch to a tupperware type container..i use small rubbermaid dishes that are made for leftovers..once you get your incubaitng medium correct you wont lose any humidity!
i have know casey for a while and have purchased both racks and incubators from him - 1) he is close enough so i dont have to deal with shipping 2) the products are great for the price. ive seen how he builds them from scratch and they are pretty nice.
