there is the myth of the snakes with 2 heads and there is the myth of the snakes with moustaches, I have a snake with moustaches

but I have to offer rats too... he is always sooooo hungry
(and he can't wait rats in the cage, he doesn't know the good manners)

And now the bad news, the eggs that prolaxed died, I found the hatchling died in. I can't wait for the others 8 eggs

Dear Nazza, what handsome animals! They are truly robust specimens with amazing color, and I am amazed to hear of them from your distant location, one of the great things about this forum is that it brings us together with our common interest.
About feeding trout: how often do you feed them? Are these hatchery/raised trout or wild ones? Do you freeze the trout first before thawing and feeding? Are parasites likely to be harbored in trout? Is there anything you can tell me that would be helpful about feeding fish to the D.couperii I will soon be raising? For me, fish are cheap and readily available, I know about long term freezing of fish not being a good thing. Thankyou, Vic in Northern California, USA

Hi victor,
i'm very grateful to this forum, I have indigo and indigo's eggs only for the good advices I had from USA breeders.
Usually I feed frozen items (fish, rodent, chicken), this time wasn't frozen. I don't use wild fish. Parasites should be harbored in fresh fish, so should be better use frozen food, but also frozen food isn't 100% safe.
Fish and chicken are only a small part of the diet I offer to my indigo.
regards
nazzza
