Another Eastern Rescued.....

FloridaHogs Jun 30, 2005 08:41 PM

Rescued another Eastern today. This time she was being attacked by my parents dogs. 22.5 inch female (comparing the tail to my other female). Not sure if she is injured or not, but I am going to give her a few days. First time I have seen a hog "play dead". This one not only played dead, but went into a very elaborate death throes. Played dead for about 2 hours...quite an actor this one. Odd color though. Most I have seen seem to be a color background with black spots. This girl is reversed, black background with tan spots. Not much color, and quite thin. Just glad she is alive, and seems to be moving well

These were taken the first day. She hissed for 24 hours (of course I would have too after being attacked by dogs!!) I am guessing she is an eastern, but she sure does look different from my others... She seems to be doing O.K. but not very mobile. Doesn't want to move much, did eat once though.
