Is awesome, I have owned a black and white before, but had to get rid of it, and found this little guy at a reptile center for 200 dollars, not bad, he eats like there is no tomorrow, and also enjoys his fruits, but he does have a kinked tail which looks like it may have been constricted by stuck shed skin, is that possible, and if it is will it ever go away? If not no biggie, his personality is flawless, even when I take him out right after basking, he just roams around my room and chills under my table.

Sweet deal...Yes it could be from constricted shed, as you probably know that's an OVERWHELMINGLY common problem with reds. Mine has almost no toes and kinked and messed up tail from stuck sheds (due to his prev. owner...btw...he also came in dehydrated and sick with beginning signs of MBD, oh and I ordered him from a certain vendor who advertises on this site...).

I was told by the vet that the kink could be caused by infection and gave me some antibiotics. He also told me if I splinted the tail (think like a broken arm) it might straighten out as it grows. Not sure if that would work but I figured I'd just leave him be. But you could try it if you wanted...

I had a tegu with a kinked tail. No biggie. Added personality more than anything. Leave it alone and let it be. Look for dry, cracked, broken, cut, infected, or lack of shedding or those kinda things on the tail, but kinked is fine. Let it be.
