What kind of turtle?

soadfreakazoid Jul 01, 2005 07:21 AM

I got a turtle a few years ago from school, and I have never known what breed he is. I was hopeing someone could help me identify him on here. I don't have a picture of him but I found a few online that look similar.

The picture looks almost identical to him except mines nails are much longer and hes bigger. Are any plants toxic to turtles? I have some small plants in there now and the guy at the pet store said they are harmless. Just wanted to check. And my turtle chipped his beak (I think it's from bashing against the glass which he does often.) Thanks for any help everyone!

The turtle in the picture is a Common Snapping turtle. So if yours looks like him, looks like you have a Common Snapper. If its bigger than the one in the pic, yours must be huge. What are you housing it in?

0.1 Red Eared Slider, 0.0.1 Common Snapper, 1.0 Bearded Dragon and a 55gal Native Fish Tank with a LM Bass. I use to have a collection of Leopard Geckos that I bred, but I have sold them all off.
