Turtle Pond is it safe

I Have a Pound In my Front yard thats pretty small. I was thinking about building a new one in my back yard for my turtles. i do have cats and they never seemed to mess with the turtles. and the t. would always jump in raelly fast
so is it ok

Well,

I am not saying that it is definitely safe, because simply put, S**t happens. I have two turtles in an outdoor pond that has cats lose, and they have never been bothered. So most likely they will be ok. Cat's dont like water, so as long as you put something in the center like a log or something (I use driftwood) in the center for them to get out and bask on, then they should be safe.

i also have to res outside and the local cats dont bother them but r local racoons do so if have some coons in your area i would suggest that you cover your pond w/ some mesh or bird netting for fruit trees and anchor it around the pond w/ rocks or something heavy......hope this helps
