porkchop48 Jul 01, 2005 08:32 AM

A couple of weeks ago i found some tadpole in a creek by where i live. They are about 1/4 - 1/2 inch long and a very dark brown or black color. I know it isnt a very good description but does any one have any ideas what they may be. They semed black but are tarting to turn a darker brown as they grown their legs and arms

sounds like they could be toad tadpoles, i raised some this summer and they were a very dark color. Shine a flashlight on theme, and if you see gold dots or spots on their body, they are most likley toadpoles.
