Mold In Misting System

angelsboas Jul 01, 2005 09:51 AM

I have an automatic misting system conected to some of my herp cages. Over time the tubes leading to the the nozzles get mold in them. I have replaced all the lines once, it came back. I then replaced all the lines again and put an inline particulite filter leading from the pump, but the mold is coming back!! Has anyone ever had this problem with a misting system? Should I try a UV Sterilizer? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

what kind of misting system do you have
and does it have clear tubing
I also hope It's not the rainmaker that is the worst company ever
the propper tubing for a misting system should not be transparent at all cause if lights gets in there than of corse algee and mold will grow if you have this system or the clear tubing swith to black or solid white tubing then you will never have a problem
