feeding baby Scarlet/parasite question

greg woodie Jul 01, 2005 03:17 PM

found a baby Scarlet King on June 21st. has fed twice on tails from 5-lined Skinks. i have a female Skink that just laid 5 eggs. was thinking of feeding them to my snake, but remembered a Scarlet i caught last year that had eaten some lizard eggs and shortly thereafter died. i have Skink parts and whole Skinks frozen. is it better/safer to just keep using those until i get the snake on pinkies? thanks for any help/advice.

I've never heard of a scarlet king eating eggs of any kind.

Stick to the frozen skinks.

Thats nice that your 5 lined laid eggs did you breed her with a male? I have never heard of captive 5 lines doing that.
