i have read that a false bottom is the way to go,but id like to have a small pond in my vivarium.i dont see how i can have a pond and a false bottom.can someone explain how?if it cant be done, then how do the guys with ponds deal with the ground being saturated?i was wondering if anyone knew of a link that explained how to build vivariums.id like to have a pond and a waterfall in my vivarium but am unsure of the best way to do it.what type of pump and where should i buy it(for the waterfall).and my last question, the background.what is the best way to build it?id like to have plants growing on the back wall as well.basically a good link describing how to achive these things would be great.

I hate how you can't see what people post when you reply on this board...

You just cut a pond out of the egg crate and put the land on the egg crate and put the pond where the cut is. I think you can see that on my web page....

There are a million ways to make a background...You can use great stuff and then silicon coco bedding, silicon on cork bark flats, silicon coco liners, treefern panels, etc.

I think you need to go to the "user pref" (next to login) and change your preferences to see what you are replying to. That way you have the option of using it for reference and either including their post in your response or deleting it right before you click "post reply".
