ok so if i put a rodent down for my ball python to eat and he doesnt eat it .. how long should i let it sit there.. before it rots or goes bad

Depends on the snake - how long does it usually take him to eat something? If he usually eats in 10 minutes and it's been 30 then you can take it out and try another day.

my Boy takes FT, and all I have to do is put the thawed out rat in his food dish (yes, at this point he is eating froma food dish) he takes about 15 min to eat it, he does not even constrict much any more
He is such a good boy now that he is no longer sick. I DO have to get him some larger rats though, he is eating every few days. weanlings
when these are gone I will go to small-Smalls
but he is a really good eater now
