the average feeding schedule is every 5-7 days...but some people like to be impatient and feed more than that to get their snakes to breeding size sooner....

Mice are a relatively small meal for a subadult ball (I'm guessing by sub adult your talking somewhere around 600 grams) - I have a girl 900 grams that will eat 4-6 mice every week like they are popcorn - if she would eat rats it would only be one medium one - but alas she is stuck on mice. I also have a 300 gram male that takes two mice per week no more no less. Generally feeding once ever 7-10 days is recommended but that depends on the snake, the size of the food item and how well they digest. I've got one girl that will only eat once a month - it doesn't matter if I give her a huge rat or a small one - she only eats once every 28 days.

It is pretty tough to overfeed a ball. Just feel lucky if they eat regularly. You can feed as little as one mouse a month to as much as 3-4 rats per week for an adult (these are both extremes). It all depends on the snake really and usually is something in the middle. More naturally, they would probably eat about once per month. If you want them to grow fast, feed them more often. My best eater is a female around 900 grams now that has been eating 3 mice every 5 days since she was about 300 grams. She is 9 months old now and pushing 1000 grams. I have seen people with '03 snakes for sale that are 200-300 grams, so obviously they will adapt to whatever you feed them.
