are foggers ok for ball pythons? i found one that uses only water and no chemicals..."creates a layer of low lying fog"...
would this hurt the snake? would it make the humidity to high?

because they've been known to overheat and burn animals and they are completely unnecessary for a ball.

my Rescue male has had nothing but bad sheds since I got him until I got this Humidifier for when he had his RI, and I just reduced the time it was on daily, it keeps the humidity at about 60% (the room is much Drier with the AC on)
This unit does not get warm, and its onkly on about an hour a day
Would this be a concern?

Where are BP's native to? What's their habitat like in their native range(s)? What niches do they exploit in those native ranges?
Fogger for a BP? Not a very smart idea.
Big Apple sells a product called The Humidimat. Maybe this would work?
(NOTE: I am not officially endorsing this product. I bought one a while ago, and still have not used it. It seems like an interesting product, and it only costs a couple of dollars. Since I am a lazy bastard who will probably never remember to use it, I eagerly await a second opinion.)

I bought one too - I was hoping that it would help maintain the 100% humidity needed in with the mom I have incubating her eggs - I saw no difference so I pulled the thing out, resoaked it and put it in a small 14 qt. tub with a hygrometer to see what would happen - absolutely no change in the humidity level -I'd say save your money - but maybe I got one that's malfunctioning?!?

Really? I'll have to try mine (soak only) tonight. Did you set it right side up? LOL =)
(I knew it sounded too good to be true!)

LOL - yeah - leather side down.
They don't even tell you how long one soaking is supposed to last I tested it for a week, then pulled it out the inside was still all squishy but it doesn't appear to work
. Oh well at least it didn't cost much.

regular mistings seemed to work for me the past 25 years, so I'll stick to that.....LOL
Aspen will also keep the humidity up for longer than crappy unnatural newspaper will.
JMO, and my opinion is worth $$$, trust me
