I know about the small pocket of CA Mountain Kingsnakes in the Columbia River Gorge, and I've seen their range maps. I'm having a hard time locating them, however. (Don't want to take, just see & photgraph.)

I have checked along Jewett Creek, Catherine Creek, Beacon Rock, Dog Mountain trail and other likely rocky areas facing south.

Have you seen them in this area recently? Can you suggest a good locale for seeking them this summer??
