Cypress mulch- freezing instead of baking?

wreckwriter Jul 04, 2005 09:45 AM

Anyone tried freezing mulch instead of baking it to kill the little bugs?

Freezing to temps that you might have in a household freezer would notbe cold enough. I use mine straight out of the bag and have never had a problem with insects.

Not cold enough? Really? I would have thought it would be. Thanks for replying and saving me a mess in my freezer

Freezing would probably kill all the bugs just not all the eggs and spores.
