Returned to Corpus with...steeerick 3! Does this mean I'm out? Hunted 377, 277, 131, 674 (Bracketville area) Juno Rd. and 277,377. Passed through Ozona and Sheffield a little and 349 to Dryden. Saw:
1 Checkered garter DOR 131 N. between Eagle Pass and Bracketville
1 albino Rio Grande Leopard frog tadpole @ Juno Rd. Pecos crossing
TMTC " " " "
1 red headed W. coachwhip DOR 12 m. N. of Bracketville
1 Texas spotted whiptail AOR 277 @ Carruther's Creek
2 Eastern Collard lizards @ Seminole Canyon State park
1 very light W. coachwhip AOR @ Comstock on 163
1 Texas indigo DOR on 277 1 mile west of Las Moras Creek in Maverick co. (some marginal habitat for G.B.'s?)
1 W. coachwhip DOR Live Oak co. on 624
All in all, an OK trip and I saw the parade in Del Rio on my way out. Hope you all have better luck than me! Palma Draw and Lozier's canyon were to be my primary targets but road construction took care of that. I believe they will be working their way towards Sanderson. Never had much luck around freshly tarred roads, myself. Seems to send snakes packing.
A'Dios,
Todd Hughes
P.S. Where I come from it's beans and enchiladas

where I come from splendida's all that matter
But I'll be back one day....for alterna!
